Farmers-style cheeses are simple in method, making them very creamy and versatile. "The Homesteader" - a mildly sweet and tangy cheese - is crafted on the farm of Adam Dean, Pasture Maid Creamery of New Castle, Pennsylvania.

"The Homesteader" is similar in versatility to low-moisture aged mozzarella because it grates and melts beautifully. "The Homesteader" is my go-to cheese when baking pizza or lasagna because of its sweet cream flavor.
